Gerald C Hynes "A Biographical Sketch of W.E.B DuBois" http://www.duboislc.org/html/DuBoisBio.html. W.E.B DuBois stands for William Edward Burghardt. On  this web site is his whole life boigraphy. It talks about him going through high school and college. It also talk about him being the first african american to graduate from Harvard. It goes on to say that he helped organize tthe first offical NAACP group.In the end it tells us how dubois gave up on being a u.s citizen and moved to Ghana,Africa and died to year later as a citizen of Ghana. Also on this web site is a list of his books and major references.

W.E.B DuBois

I choose W.E.B Dubois for my national history day project because I am interested in civil rights. I feel he had a big impact on history.  He was a civil rights ativist. He attempted virtually every possible solution to the problem of racism. Service Learning

I think service learning is learning how to how help your community. I want to make a community service team. We would focus on pollution and the trash in our communities. I would want to travel to different sites in philadelphia that need to be cleaned up. I also think we should go to soup kitchens for the homeless and donate to them food and old clothing.

Important Issue environment and energy

In my research I found that Obama and I agree on this issue. Obama believes we should reduce dependance on foreign oil. he also believes we should make  U.S a leader in the global effort to combat climate change by leading a new internation global warming partnership.

In my research I found that MCcain believes we should keep our oil resources. But, he does see that oil and burning other fossil fuels do not help the environment.  Also he does not want to invest in alternate sources of energy. 

I agree with Obama more on the evironment and energy issue because I also think we should not drill into Alaska. I also believe we should reduce our dependance on foreign oil. MCcain believes we should not do these things and that is why I disagree with him

Barack Obama

I think Barack Obama should be president because he will change history forever. George W. Bush has messed up our country long enough and Obama is offering change. I feel his views on most issues will help us to a brighter future. He plans to make an affordable universal health care plan. He also, wants to put a stop to the war in iraq. And, he wants to stop drilling into the earth and help save it.
